Privacy Policy

The data controller is Assou Group, Sogbossito, Lomé (Togo), reachable at contact@assougroup.com. We apply Togolese Law No. 2019-014 of 29 October 2019 on the protection of personal data and, for visitors located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Conversations over WhatsApp or by phone follow the same confidentiality rules. We never collect card payment data: it is handled directly by CinetPay.

On your first visit, the site determines your country from your IP address to show you French or English. This is done on our own server using the locally installed DB-IP geolocation database: your IP address is not sent to any outside service and is not stored for this purpose. Your choice is then remembered in a cookie, and you can switch language at any time with the FR / EN selector.

We never sell or rent your data. Only the Assou Group team can access it, plus the following providers for technical purposes:

• Hostinger: website and email hosting (servers in France);
• Google Fonts: font display (your browser contacts Google's servers);
• CinetPay: online payments, where applicable;
• WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.

We may also disclose data to authorities where required by law.

• Contact and quote requests: 3 years after the last exchange;
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe;
• Comments: as long as the article is online, or until you ask for deletion;
• Applications and CVs: 2 years after the last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them sooner;
• Orders and invoices: as long as required by accounting and tax obligations;
• Server technical logs: 12 months maximum.

The site is served over HTTPS only, admin access is restricted to the team, applicants' CVs are stored in a private area not reachable from the Internet, and backups are kept on the server. Your data is hosted in France; this transfer outside Togo is covered by our host's security safeguards.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent (for example for the newsletter). To exercise these rights, email contact@assougroup.com: we reply within 30 days at most.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact Togo's personal data protection authority (IPDCP) or the data protection authority of your country.

The site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy, for instance when we add a new service. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
